Panduranga Yenumula
My first impression of Dr. Yenumula was that he is very competent, but not very warm and fuzzy. He's still not a warm and fuzzy guy, but I became more comfortable with him over time. I am a touchy-feely sort of person, though, so his professional demeanor would appeal to some people. He's definitely very good at what he does. His office staff is very nice and knowledgeable. He works with Sparrow Weight Management Center for before and aftercare, and emphasizes that a lot, so I felt very prepared for what was to come, and how to deal with everything after surgery. I felt like he gave me all of the information I needed about the benefits and the risks of surgery. My insurance covers RnY and gastric banding, so he focused on those two options, and gave me everything I needed to consider to make an informed decision. He also made sure to do all the preop testing necessary to make sure that any forseeable risk was covered. I would recommend Dr. Yenumula to someone looking into bariatric surgery. rnrnI would say his surgical competence is excellent, and his bedside manner is good.
