I finally made it home yesterday. My time in the hosptial was not good. From the pain, nausea, not ever being able to get comfortable in that awful bed, having somebody wake me up every time I was actually able to fall asleep,to having to recieve blood before I was able to leave. I was soooooooooooooooo glad to make it home. I showered and was actually able to sleep through the night. I feel so much better today. I was at first beginning to regret my decision but I'm feeling a lot better now and I think once I get to the point that I'm able to eat regular food I will actually be glad that I did this.

I can't believe it is less than 24 hours before my surgery.  This time last year I was dead set against it. People tried to talk me into it and I just didn't think it was for me. What a difference a year makes. And now, not even 4 months after making the decision to do this, the time has come. I am so excited.

I can't believe it. This whole process really has gone fast. I was getting a little frustrated because Dr Patel's office is a little disorganized right now and I would either not be able to get in contact with anyone or they would tell me "you should know something by this date" and that date would come and go and I wouldn't have heard anything. So then I call or e-mail and am told again, "you should know something by this date". And again, that date would come and go and still nothing. This has gone on for the past month but it made it seem like 3-4 months. Finally, I have my pre-op appt on Friday, but I don't know what time because the lady that handles it has yet to call me back.   She's not even the one who told me about the appt. I had to find out that information from somebody else.
