3 years old :)

Apr 10, 2011

3 years out. Seems sooooo long ago now.  I am such a different person now.  And it has nothing to do with the weight. The spiritual journey I have travelled, I NEVER saw coming. And I have barely scratched the surface. For all you who are pre-op and 1 year or less post op, remember you have to create good eating habits. The first 1-2 years the weight is gonna fall off, no matter what. So the habits you create in that time are essential to your long term success. I have fallen off the wagon and gained back more that I wanted to, but I have asked GOD for his help. Something I never did before.  I know with his help I will get back on the right track and become the healthy, successful person I am meant to be. I will post pictures when I get back down to where I am happy again. Hopefully it won't be another year.

It's so hard to believe it's been 2 years since my rebirth.  So much has changed and I have changed in ways I never imagined when I started this journey. I have not yet reached my goal weight. In fact I have gained some in the last 2-3 months. I've gotten a little off track. But I have rededicated myself to doing the right things. I purchased some personal training sessions so that I can get back into my workout groove.  And hopefully I can lose that last 35 pounds in the next 4 months. I need to take pictures and I will post them as soon as I can. On the bright side, I bought a swim suit (1 piece) a couple of months ago. It is a size 10 and it actually fits. I was so excited. I have never been this size in all of my adult life and I refuse to go back to what I used to be.

18 months post

I am down 111 lbs and 76 inches. It has slowed down a lot. The scale doesn't seem to move as much but the clotes are still getting bigger. Sooooooo frustrating. I don't think I have much more to lose though. I am happy with the way I look now with the exception of a little loose skin here and there . But anyway, the journey continues.

I am now down 105 lbs and 71.25 inches.  How unbelievable is that? 11 more pounds and I will have graduated from obese to just overweight.  I am wearing a size 12 pants and M/L tops. I still look at the clothes in my closet and can't believe I can actually fit them. I haven't gotten used to not having to go to the big girls section in the store. I always go there first. I have been going through some old pictures and I  cannot believe I was ever that big. I am sooo excited because I am going to see Jaime Foxx tonight. Of course I will be taking pictures, so I'll post them soon.

1 Year Post

Apr 11, 2009

Wow. I can't believe it's been a year already. Sooooooooooo much has happened. I have lost 101 lbs and 67.5 inches.  I am now wearing a 12/14 instead of a 26/28. I have matured in ways I didn't expect.  And I have become a stronger person physically, emotionally and spirtually. I have learned so much about myself and I am on my way to becoming the person I was meant to be. I am so glad I did this.

What a week I've had

Mar 15, 2009

I was trying to wait until my anniversary to write, but as we all know life happens. About a month ago I started having problems with my gallbladder. I was trying to wait until I built up enough time at work to have the surgery. Well, last weekend I was in soooooooooooo much pain with nausea/vomiting that lasted over 30 hours without letting up at all. I finally took my stubborn behind to the ER. We decided to do the surgery now. Well, turns out that it was not just the gallbladder. Apparently a piece of fatty tissue decided it really didn't want to leave  so it wrapped itself around part of my bowel and cut off the blood supply which in turn caused that part of my bowel to die. So we had to fix that problem and take out the gallbladder. And just for fun, my appendix decided to be out of place. So we took that out too before it decided to give me trouble. I have spent the last week recovering. Feeling much better though.  Just 25 days until I"m a year out. See you then.

I finally made it to ONEDERLAND :) :) :) :)

Dec 21, 2008

I was going to wait until I was nine months out to write again (I'm 8 1/2 now), but I am soooooooooooooooooo excited, I just had to write today. As of this morning I am 199 lbs . (that's 86 lbs lost)   I have been waiting for so long to get here and I finally made it. After stalling for 2 months, I thought I would never get here. Now I am happy. Anything more that I lose from here on out is just icing on the cake. My final goal is 150. But it really does depend on how I look. I may be happy at a higher or lower number. We'll just have to wait and see. Anyway, I just wanted to share my joy with you guys. I have posted new pictures, so check them out when you get a chance.

6 MONTHS OUT

Oct 08, 2008

I've lost 78 lbs and 50 1/4 inches . Apparently I'm in another stall because the scale just won't move .  I just saw Dr Patel last week and he is very happy with my progress so I try not to worry about it. It's just so frustrating when you are doing everything right and the numbers don't move.  I'll take new pictures soon.

67 pounds & 45 3/4 inches gone forever

So much has happened in the last month. I only lost another 4  1/2 pounds but I was in a stall for 3 weeks.  I did lose 5 1/2 total inches and I am very excited about that. I also quit one job and started a new one. I really like the new job. There is almost no stress. I am so much happier. I posted new pictures. I can't believe how different I look. I am so glad I did this.

4 months out :) :) :)

Aug 09, 2008

OMG, only 4 months and I'm down 62 1/2 pounds and 40 1/4 inches.   I can't believe it. I am sooooooooooo excited.  I'm still working out (3-4X/week). No problems eating. I saw Dr. Patel yesterday and I'm doing OK. My labs weren't really bad but they're not really good either. So we made a few adjustments with my supplements and I'll see him again in 6 weeks to see how I'm doing.  Otherwise, I'm doing great. The first few weeks after the surgery I was really doubting my decision to do this. Now I am sooooooooooo happy and I wish I would have done it sooner.
