reality check

I have recently been thru a reality check....All my life I have been made fun of for being overweight.  I use to come home from school crying almost everyday.  I haven't had to deal with that since I graduated from high school...until the other day.  I had a co-worker say to me that I needed to quit eating cake because it was starting to show....she didn't even know that I didn't eat ANY of the cake I brought to work to share with some of my co-workers.  It hurt my feelings sooooo bad and it angered me!  I had put up with all that bull shit for most of my life and I was so tired of it.  I filed harassment charges against her....BUT its not considered harassment because apparently the state doesn't recognize obesity as a disability.  But needless to say I still felt better after finally taking up for myself.   I hope that my surgery is successful but that I never forget where I came from and NEVER hurt anyones feelings over weight the way that mine have been hurt.
