Surgeon Testimonial

Imtiaz Munshi, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Munshi was that he is a very knowlegeable doctor and transmits a "don't worry, everything will be fine," message. It gives you peace of mind. The office's staff is great, very pleasant people. Dr. Munshi takes things one step at a time, he doesn't overwelmed you with what do you have to do after surgery. The first thing is the surgery itself and that's what he discuss with you. I really like that. He told me about the risks of the surgery and most important HOW THEY HANDLE THEM in case they show up. They offer support groups which are very valuable and you can attend them as long as you want. There you find support and answers to your questions. In a scale 1-10 I would give him and the staff at Baystate Medical Center a PERFECT 100!!!I will highly recommend them all.

It has been two weeks since my surgery.  Drainers off; pain under control for most part of the day BUT I am so swollen! is incredible but I guess "normal" under the circumstances.

I looked at myself in the mirror and was amazed! is such a big difference I am very pleased with the outcome and can't wait to heal comepletely.  Thank you Dr. Melissa Johnson:o)

Drainers removed! woohooo
on July 13, 2009 8:22 am
Ok just came back from my first post-op visit and Dr. Johnson removed the two drainersIt feels so much better OMG! I feel free; I still have to wear the binder but is ok I just didn't like the drainers and they hurt me.  I am glad so glad they are goneLegs still swollen but surgeon said it's normal.  Will take a nice warm shower and will rest some more

Now is time to rest and get better.  I have to see Dr. Johnson in six weeks and I promise to have before and after pics then.   Dr. Johnson showed me the before pics today and I can say it is wow! such a big change already; I am very happy with the results.

Five days post-op
on July 12, 2009 2:27 pm
It has been five days since my tummy tuck and I am feeling ok; I am kind of concern because my legs are very swollen but other than that I feel fine.  At this point I don't feel pain but pressure which is kind of the same in my opinion.  I am still on  medication for the pain but they make me feel sick! I am trying to take them with food some crackers or something light like crackers but not helping.

I have my first post-op visit tomorrow morning and I am hoping to have my drainers removed.  They really bother me; I am emptying them three times a day  and I am recording the amount of fluids I collect.

Well is time for a short walk and a cup of coffee or juice.  I will keep on posting.

Hey you!

Well it has been quiet a long time since I post anything! I have good news to share with you.  I finally had my TT on Tuesday July 7th, 2009.  I feel ok but sored and kind of tired.  Surgery went well and I stayed in the hospital  one day for ovservation.  Pain was bad, really bad.  I am taking three different kinds of meds to help me deal with the pain.  I knew it was going to hurt and I kind of prepared myself for that.

My surgeon Dr. Melissa Johnson is such a sweet heart.  I love her, and most importantly I trusted her.  Hey wonder if I can become her "poster child" LOLwell she was EXTREMELY satisfied with the results and so am I.  I know there is still a long way to go but I don't regret anything.  I know the pain will fade and I will feel better........my mom's chicken soups, my boyfriends Pablo's foot massages, and my coffee are making all the difference

I promise to keep on posting and let you know more about the whole process.   Happy Weekend!
