One more chance

Apr 25, 2008

Food was a friend, never critized me, it was always there to keep me company, to confort me.  That same friend, food, could of kill me.  Four years ago I weight 293 pounds(296 3 months before surgery), I was obese, sad, depressed beyond treatment and just unhappy......

Four years ago I had gastric bypass surgery, and it changed my life.  No, my problems with food are still there,  yes sometimes I feel like binging, yes I still feel like giving up  but, that should be a big BUT, now I have changed, I have learned that I can control my eating habits,  I learned that I can do things that I only dream of before my surgery.  This surgery has helped me emotionally, mentally and yes physically.  Am I free from worries? No, Hell No! I still battling with my weight, I still have to think before I put something in my mouth, I still have ups and downs but what is different now is that I KNOW I CAN OVERCOME THIS, ONE STEP AT A TIME AND SO CAN YOU...
