Day 4 Post Op- Is this really happening? Scary!
Jun 11, 2012
My double chin is nearly gone--yes, that double chin I've had for my entire life is almost gone! My waist even seems to be a couple inches thinner, but I'll need to find my measuring tape to confirm this!I couldn't be gladder! Aside from a brief incident on day 2, I've never been nauseated, and I've been focusing on what my sleeve has been telling me (when it's time to stop eating, when I should change position in bed, etc. My sleeve is my conscience like Jiminy Cricket!
I finished off a small (1/8c) peach, cherry, banana, greek yogurt and flax seed shake for breakfast, and will be having a little bit of beef/tomato broth for lunch. I don't know what I'll be doing for dinner yet. I'm sort of eager to try out some vegetable juices in my shakes, maybe carrot would be a good starting point? I can imagine some other delicious possibilities like tangerine, beet, carrot, and apple :) Finally, a reason to use my juicer daily!
I am SO happy, and so excited about this whole process. My energy is way up, even though I'm eating probably 1/8th of what I used to eat (and sleeping about 16 hours a day! I figure that's ok, because that's just my body needing to recover from surgery.)
I want to tell everyone I meet, and yet, I don't know if I want to tell my family. My brother knows, my husband and mother in law knew from the beginning, but I haven't told my mother or father or grandparents or anyone else yet. I didn't want to tell my mother, because she has a nervous disposition and I'd be afraid that she'd worry about me excessively. I want my dad to know, because he hates being left out of anything major like this--it's just a matter of when to tell him.
My chin is going away! wOOT wOOT!
