12 Days post-op.

Dec 18, 2009

So, here I am 12 days later.  I feel good.  I'm managing to get in my water and protein most days.  There's been a couple of days where I've been 8 oz. or so short on water, but I'm trying really hard.   I always have my water bottle in my hand.   So far, I've had no trouble with water.   I've heard people say that they can't do plain water, I guess I can.

People are starting to say they can see my weight shifting around.  I can't, but I guess that's normal.    My soreness is almost gone.   My incisions are healing nicely.    I'm just waiting to get  to the gym!

I'm a little stumped on how much I should be eating and drinking.   I've went back through my papers from Amber (the nutr.) and I can't find anything.   I've just been playing it by ear.   I just take small sips, I don't know how much I can sip at one time, I'm afraid to try(LOL).

I went to the support group meeting the other night, it was nice to get out of the house and nice to be around people that felt like I do.    I'm always freezing and get tired quickly.   I hear the coldness is just going to get worse and the tiredness should fade, so that's good.    They also talked about how when you lose your weight and go to ball games or other events to sit on the bleachers, how bad it hurts without your padding.  I thought that was funny, never really thought about it, but I guess it makes sense.
