Three weeks out today.

Dec 28, 2009

Well, here we are...three weeks post-op.   I feel great.  Sure, I get tired, but not like before.  Now it hits me at night.  Around 10 O'clock, I'm ready for bed and you couldn't keep me awake if you wanted to!

I sit here chugging down a bottle of protein drink, starting the day out right.   I've been doing  pretty well on getting my protein and water in.   I try to eat things high in protein so that I don't have to drink so many protein drinks.      I had some roast last night, I had to puree it, so that it wouldn't be so stringy and lessen the chance of it getting stuck.   My brother comes in and says it looks like "canned dog food", lol.   Well, honestly it did, but it tasted AWESOME.

I still can't believe that I had this surgery three weeks ago.  It was just nothing like I was expecting. I thought I would be in such pain that I couldn't do anything, I'm so glad that wasn't the case!

I really wanna get to the gym, but I'm waiting until after my one month post-op appointment with Fuzz to get the go ahead. I'm so glad that I decided to do this.  As of today, I'm down about 33 lbs from my starting weight .  I was told not to focus on the losing right now, because I still have swelling.   However, I think I'm becoming a slave to my scale.  I need to stay off of that thing, it's an every morning thing.   I wish I could weigh like once a week, but I've never been able to that, I'm compulsive about it, I guess.

So far (KNOCK ON WOOD), I haven't had any problems with eating any foods and I'm doing kay with milk albeit, it's skim milk, but I like that best in my protein powder.     I'm not hungry,I have to tell myself  "Ok, it's time to eat".  That's such a big difference for me.

I am having a craving from hell though, or I did yesterday I should say.   Coca Cola.  Up until about 2 months ago, I was addicted to the stuff, but I haven't had any in about 2 months.    Well, yesterday the thought of it came into my head and my tongue was literally like "Hey, yeah..bring on the coke!"That passed though.   I grabbed my bottle of unsweetened tea  and it was all good.   I know that there will be times like that, but I'll just have to distract myself from thinking
about it.

I've been meaning to take measurements, but I haven't gotten around to it.  I told my husband that we  needed to do that today, so we'll see if it happens.   I'd really like to be able to see the difference in the numbers.    So, I'll definitely get on that.

Well, I guess that's all for now.   Until next time...
