Surgeon Testimonial

Hugh Houston
Dr. Houston is a very skilled lap surgeon, and he is very easy to talk to. He is a little cocky, but I like that. I want my surgeon to be confident in his skills. He andrnCentennial staff are great. His staff reallyrnknow what they are doing, and are super nice.

6 MONTHS OUT
on December 3, 2009 4:20 am

I am officially 6 mths out , and I have lost 95 lbs. I can not tell you what an adventure this has been. I am closing in on goal, so now I am adding in more carbs, I don't want to lose too much weight. I am hoping that I can STOP at 150. That may even be too much for me. I am currently wearing a size 10 jeans ,and they are getting to big. AMAZING!!!! I love this surgery and what it has done for me. My biggest concern right now is my Labs, I want to get everyrthing up to where it needs to be. So I can be as much as I can be.

ONEDERLAND!!!!!
on September 5, 2009 8:27 am
Today I hit 199, I am so happy . This journey has been so worth it. 63 lbs gone forever!! I feel a little overwhelmed by all the big clothes being in my closet. I have only a few things to wear and don't want to spend money on things I will grow out of.  Oh well, It's worth it.

LIfe after surgery
on July 25, 2009 7:32 am
I haven't posted a blog in a very long time, I'm 8 weeks out and I am sooo happy and healthy. My
recovery has been textbook and i'm so grateful for this. I wish everyone who is overweight could have surgery because no one should have to live like that. There is life after surgery and I can't wait to enjoy every minute of it.

Dedicated to my sisters memory.
on April 26, 2009 6:40 am
I am feeling really emotional today, because I feel like I am going
to actually get to have surgery for the first time in months.
I am having this surgery in my best friends (my sister) memory.
She was killed in a tragic car accident 3 years ago. Me and her
were both heavy and struggling with weight and smoking and I'm
going to get healthy because that's what she would have wanted. If
she were here she would be doing this with me. SO I WILL NOT
GIVE UP!

IMPORTANT DECISION
on April 24, 2009 5:28 pm

I have made an important decision today, I am switching to Centennial, and Dr. Houston. I am sure this is the right thing
to do. I have had a really bad feeling about the clinic I was at.
I know I am far from the only patient who wanted surgery, but
I have only heard of 1 person having surgery there lately. I
waited long enough . 3 weeks is waaay to long to have been
approved and still not even have a surgery date.

I am nervous about starting somewhere else, but I feel I have no choice.

My Story

I  am  so excited about my decision to have surgery.  I feel like I am gaining a little bit of control over my weight problem, I'm not sure yet which surgery will be best for me yet. I have a son who is 4 years old and I am 43 . I'm a single mom who is stressed alot. who's not? I want to be here for him as long as I can.  Be back online when I decide.
