Im finally sleeved

Mar 12, 2014

After all the insurance and weight loss drama from July 2013-Dec 2013. Im in the sleeved club now I got sleeved on 2-26-14. Let me get you up to speed since my last entry. I did my 6 month weight loss program which my insurance requires. Turns out the weight loss center that I went through had never worked with BCBS through Kroger union before and they require a BMI of 50. It came down to my 6 month and it turned out I lost too much weight so I had to gain 6 lbs to be approved for surgery. Because of that I had to come up with a higher copay due to deductible started again. So the fun part of coming up with the money started but I did it. My surgery was ok until I started having kidney function issues and had to bring in a specialist. I ended up staying 4 extra days to get my levels where they should be and it turned out it was the medicine I was on for my Congestive Heart Failure. As for my diabetes Im off Humulin N for now and just on my sliding scale Novolog mealtime and my Metformin pills for now along with my seizure and blood pressure meds. im having a hard time getting my protein in now that im home and now im in phase 3 and having to time my meals its much harder cause im normally used to eating twice a day and that's it.
