Well on March 24th 2010, I began my journey to a new healthier me!! I went to Baptist Hospital in Nashville Tennessee to the office of Dr. Spaw. I filled out a packet then met with the insurance specialist she weighed me and did my BMI which was 45.5 I weigh 290.8 lbs. She contacted my Insurance co and they said the surgery would be pd at 100%. My Endocrinologist sent a letter with me listing my health status.On April 1 2010 I had to go to a WLS seminar it was held by the surgeon I picked, It was very informative I left there though not sure which surgery best fit me but Im hoping he will help me decide. My next step was to see a Psycologist for my evaluation after answering a 425 questioniaire and doing several verbal and written tests we were finished that was done on April 13, 2010. Now its a waiting game Im not sure if I will see a nutritionist next or if I will see the Dr. I just know Im anxious.I see posts where some wait up to 6 months I dont know if I can handle it I am very impatient LOL! But I hope things will start rolling soon.
