"I had an extended tt with anchor incision, bl, and liposuction with Dr. Bitar in July, 2007. I am 2 1/2 years post-op gastric bypass. Dr. Bitar did a thorough job explaining my options for surgery and developing a plan for my reconstruction after weight loss. I wasn't comfortable having the LBL at one time or deciding before a breast lift whether or not I would need implants. Dr. Bitar listened to my goals and concerns, and did such an outstanding job with this surgery, that I'm not sure I'll need any additional work. His office staff is great, especially Pat, and they are very thorough with both pre-op and post-op care. It can be intimidating for a weight loss patient to see a plastic surgeon, and while Dr. Bitar and his staff see many patients for cosmetic work, they are very sensitive to the reconstructive needs of weight loss patients. "I have been very impressed with Dr. Elariny and his office staff to date. It has been a long journey for me to gain insurance approval, and his staff was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed to get this approved. My surgery is less than a month away, and like everyone else, I'm hoping it goes really well!
POST-OP
I saw Dr. Elariny before surgery but not afterwards, and that was fine because I really had no problems that he needed to deal with. He did speak to my Mom and friend after the surgery was over. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that I don't feel hungry, I might wonder if he really did anything to my stomach - the pain and discomfort have been so minimal and the recovery so quick. I'm just amazed at how good I feel after just one week - and that I attribute to having a highly skilled surgeon - I am SO thankful he was my surgeon!"
