Craig Thompson

"
rn

rn

rn
Dr. Craig Thompson is absolutely great. rnThere was practically no wait to get a consult, he was very detailed about the surgery and answered me all questions I had in detail. rn The surgery went smooth without any complications , he's got an excellent bedside manner, came checked on me several times the day I had surgery and personally took me downstairs to the swallow test. He has been a wonderful supportive surgeon all around, he's truly saved my life!! rnI'd recommend him to anyone who is interested in this surgery, as far as I am aware, there aren't any patients with complications nor have they had any deaths within their surgery group. rn Very structured aftercare program, visits once a week for the first month, then biweekly, then monthly. rn Office staff is very friendly, the bariatric coordinator, Judy , is definitely the most organized person I've ever met, and she returns emails or phonecalls very quickly.rn On a scale from 1-10, I'd definitely give my surgeon a 10 for competence, knowledge, bedside manner and compassion. rn"

Chocolate Classic Protein Powder

"Unjury is so far the best protein supplement I have tasted. Either chocolate or vanilla is good , even though I do not taste hardly any difference between the two. Have not tried unflavored. One scoop of unjury plus 8 oz of skim milk equals 30 grams of protein, twice a day covers full daily need post-op"

Zero Carb Premixed/Prebottled

"This is a pretty good shake, tried the dutch chocolate and it's very palatable. Has a bit of grit to it once you 're almost finished with it and it does have somewhat of an aftertaste, but it sure beats the Pro-Stat 64 by a longshot! "

Pro-Stat 64

"Pro-Stat64 is an excellent source of protein, 8 Tablespoons per day satisfy the need of 60 grams of protein per day. It's easy to use if you are using it through a G-tube but very hard to swallow, the smell and taste are very unpleasant and I wasn't able to get it down, had to gag the entire time trying to take it orally, could not tolerate."

West Jefferson Medical Center

"Very nice hospital, clean, things are looking very modern, updated and renovated, would recommend this hospital without any doubt to anyone. Staff very responsive, private room had a pull out full size couch, so someone can stay in the room to help out 24 hrs a day. Easy access to the ice machine and staff had no problem with having outside-food< such as sugar free popsicles > in their fridge in the breakroom. This hospital also has the best phlebotomists I've ever seen, I've yet to FEEL it when I get my blood taken, and I've had people tell me before I had "deep veins" or even try several times before they could draw blood. These girls are excellent! Kudos! "
