It has been a very long time since I've put anything in here. I had a whole page that I believe is not accessible, any longer, so I'll give you the reader's digest version:

I had been heavy my entire adult life. As a kid and a teenager, I was downright skinny, but I was also athletic: I played baseball, softball, racquetball and tennis virtually every day. After I hit my 20's I got married and slowed down and shot up to over 200 lbs very quickly. By the time I was 45, I was at 300 and looking at an early end to my life.

Thanks to two amazing doctors, Lillian Cohn (my GP) and Matt Kirkland, I underwent RNY on March 7, 2005. I weighed in at 342 that morning.

Nearly three years later, I weigh 188 after getting down to my goal weight of 178. I want to get about 5 lbs off (a total lack of exercise accounts for the minor gain) and stay in the low 180's.

My wife, Linda, had RNY three weeks to the day after I did and is also doing great!

We both feel wonderful and I consider this the best thing I have ever done (after marrying Linda, of course!)

If you are reading this on obesityhelp.com, I invite you to jump over to my website, www.bigblaster.com to see what’s gone on in the past year. I have also now moved this entire story onto that site.
