"When I first met Dr. Herron, I thought he was very nice. But I got the feeling that he was trying to rush me through the appointment. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was having a bad day, and proceeded with everything. The day before my surgery date, he called me to tell me that my surgery would have to be postponed because I needed an additional test. When I got understandably upset, he became incredibly rude and curt. After chasing down his staff, I finally received a reschedule the date. On the day of my surgery, I didn't see Dr. Herron at all, even though everyone else on the surgical staff from the anestheiologist to the resident came to say hello and offer their assurance that I would make it through fine. My surgery was on Friday, and I didn't see Dr. Herron until Monday - the day I went home- for only 5 minutes. To make matters worse, he was obviously in a hurry to leave.
I have spoken to many of Dr. Herron's patients, and many (not all) of them are pleased with him. So remember, this is only MY experience. But while I am pleased with my surgery itself, I have since dumped Dr. Herron, switched to Dr. Elliot Goodman for follow-up and am currently very happy.
