The beginning of the journey.

 Today as I sit here and look at the screen of the computer I wonder how far this journey is going to take me.  I have been on this road before only to be so disappointed I wished the world would stop and let me off but I knew that was not going to happen so I accept defeat and move on.

Now that my decision is made I am not going back,  For years I have struggled, watched my health deteriorate and knew that I was going to be knocking on the reapers door soon because once the heart and lungs start having problems there is no turning back unless you get healthy.

Healthy? Wow when was the last time I did not have to take a pill to make it through the day? When was the last time I took a walk and was able to breathe with out the assistance of an inhaler? For that matter even walking through the grocery store. When was the last time I did not have to take my blood pressure so I know if I need to go to the doctor and adjust the medication? Well lets see, it must be about 20 years. 

So here I am looking at the computer screen and looking forward to something. I see the surgeon on St. Paddy's Day, this is a sign from my dad (rest his soul) as we are Irish and this was one day he loved so it will now be my day.

So the journey begins and I sure hope you come back to see where I wind up. I know I can find the person I was and then you will all be surprised to know her, she is a pretty fun person who loved life.
