Good Luck Erin, My thoughts and prayers are with you for an uneventful, successful surgery. It is a good decision and I love my lapband. I had surgery on May 9th, 05. In hindsight, the most difficult part for me was not the surgery but the wait afterwards for the band to be tweaked just right on my 3rd fill. My patience was stretched to the max as I expected quick results due to all the things that I gave up. It was not to be.....and it is a slower weight loss for many. It is healthier though and it gives the rest of the body a chance to adjust.like the skin for example. I will be sending good thoughts your way!! All my best!! Linda L

<b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. This is a new learning experience for all that choose WLS and we draw so much from each other. There can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery. <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....[I've lost 230 lbs with this surgery and have been at goal for a year now.
