Hi Allie: I am not sure about your question but I would say your husband still should follow the diet the dr. gave him and I would say you should be carful with what he eats still. He should get plenty of exercise and keep checking his bloodsugar often to keep an eye on it. My mother is diebetic and I have not been diegnosed dibetic yet and I hope I dont but I still keep on the diet and exercise. I am only 6 weeks out and am doing great. I was wheelchair bound for 4 years and now am not. I still use my wheelchair at college, and large grocery stores but I dont use it for short walks anymore. I have lost 50+ lbs and 18 inches as of 2 weeks ago and i see my surgeon on the 10th of sept. for my 6 week check up.Please keep in touch if you would like to I am interested in your husbands progress. Allie-I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your recent post. All of the things you said were what I have been thinking the last few weeks since I subscribed to this message board. I have found myself many nights yelling at my computer in response to some of the posts on here saying exactly the same things. I myself will be having surgery on 7/22/02 and know in my head and heart that I need to be committed to all aspects of the wls in order to succeed. Take care!

Allie ~ What an inspiration you have been to me since I found you 2 weeks ago! I have been Question Queen and you have answered openly and honestly. On May 2, I will understand all you are trying to tell me as I under-go surgery that day. Feel good today and every day knowing that you inspired someone...ME!

Hi Allie & Hubby,Best of luck to you both on your upcoming surgery!! I remember how happy, nervous, scared and excited I was just before mine. It is the best thing u can do for yourself, it is hard in the beginning but you'll do GREAT! You're in my thoughts and prayers. I just want wanted to tell you that I went thru the same thing with wanting to have a baby and was told to lose wait, and probably it would work itself out. Lots of prayers for your both ventures....
