Hello all its me ! First thanks to Vickie for being so kind in her words....My husband is still in ICU on a respirater he is having a very hard time being weaned and is still at complete suport . Its going to be a very very slow road for him ...Its been i think 11 days now since the repair for the leak and we really havent had much change. They have tried to wean him off the vent but his body just isnt ready. He has been weaned off a bit from the sedation however he gets agitated very very easy such as when they turn him and the they have to give hime a bollus of the sedation and some ativan just to get him to relax and calm down or his breathing gets real bad and he drops his oxygen and his blood pressure goes sky high.So basically its a balancing act to keep him comfortable and stress free and to try and get him eweaned. They did discover some blood clots in his legs but they are treating him still with heparin so hopefully they will just disolve. Other then that there really hasnt been a change its still hour to hour and he isnt out of the woods. I would like to say 1 thing though , if anyone is still considering this surgery please dont let my husbands situation scare you .I had mine done on the 8th of May and I feel fabulous. Thank God my energy kicked in when it did . I have no clue what I even weigh as I have been to busy to step on a scale but I will say I started in a tight 24's and now my 20's are falling off of me so I guess thats a good thing .This is just a bump in the road with my husband and we will get over it and he will get to recovering as he should be . Please continue to pray for him and thanks again for all your kind words.i will be printing this out so that he may see all the kind words for him .......God Bless you all and thanks again Vicky for being my Angel .....I will try and keep you all posted as often as I can .

Hi, this is Jackie's angel bringing you an update on her husband Tony. I spoke to Jackie last night and things are looking somewhat better. Tony was placed on a trach, he was on a full support ventilator for over a week. For those that don't know, drs discovered Tony had a leak after his surgery and was rushed back into surgery again. He has been in ICU since and unable to breathe on his own. Good news is that Jackie finally got to speak with her husband, before he was so sedated and the vent was down his mouth. She sounded sooo elated when I spoke to her. I'm so happy for them. She really needed to get to hear his voice again and to have him aware of his surroundings again. He is not out of the woods, still listed in critical condition. Let's all continue to pray and send good wishes thier way! They can surely use them. We hope you get better real soon Tony!!! Thank you everyone for your support.
