1 Yr. Anniversary Wt.=128.5 lbs. lost 113.5 lbs. I saw my surgeon today and all is well. He is very pleased and so am I. I have been maintaining my weight for the last 3 months or so. I am happy where I am at, but would like to have some plastic surgery (tummy tuck, breast lift). Clothes hide these problem areas well, but I would like to do this someday. All my blood tests are right on track, and I have found some supplement that I really like; from Novartis, Optisoure/Resource multi-vitamins (chewable) and their mini nutrition bar. You can order from Walgreens.com. Very good!!

9 mos. post-op wt.= 134 lbs. lost 108 lbs. I never thought I'd ever see this weight. I am wearing a size 6 and I even have one pair of jeans that are a size 4. WOW! It felt good to buy those! I ate so much this week. I didn't think I'd loose anything, along with the fact that I thought I'd hit my target weight; but I did loose 2 more pounds this last week. YEAH! I'm feeling fine and my hair has stopped falling out. I did get it cut pretty short, and I love it! So easy now. I am considering the plastic surgery options. I have found a chat group that deals with having PS in Costa Rica. Not sure if this will ever pan out for me financially, but I sure would like to pursue it. We'll see....I'm happy with the new me, but I see room for improvement. I look at it as the final step in my journey of the re-birth or the "REAL ME!"

8/21/03 8 months post-op. wt=139.5 lbs. down 102.5 lbs. Celebrate with me!! I have reached the "CENTURY" mark and beyond!! I am so thrilled and feeling GREAT!! This has been the best decision I have ever made for my life and health. I am borrowing clothing from my Mom and Sister and need to go visit the Thrift stores again. I have been eating lots of different things and have had no problems with caramel brownies and even pecan pie!! I did over fill my stomach last week and I felt miserable (Bosses Day pot luck). I vowed then and there that I was not going to re-live that feeling for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I hope to be able to reach 130 lbs. This is my listed "IDEAL" weight for my height and frame (5'4" tall). So I have about 10 lbs. to go. I seems very sureal to me to say that I've lost more than 100 lbs.; when before surgery I thought that loosing 10 or 20 lbs. was a lot! I still have people that know me, not recognize me. I talk to them and they know that they know who I am by my voice, but they don't realize who I am until I tell them. That's very weird, because I think that I still look like me, just smaller. I am still the same person.........just BETTER!!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

8/21/03 6 MONTHS POST-OP WT.=154 LBS. DOWN 88 LBS. I have made it to 6 months out. Things are going great for me. The weight loss has slowed, but I am still loosing about 2 lbs each week on average. I would like to loose another 12 pounds to get to my goal of 142 lbs. (100 lbs lost). We'll see how it goes. I feel great! And I am able to eat normally and have few problems with digesting foods. Although I did have a small piece of cake last night and did not feel by best. It made my stomach upset, but nothing major. So I will continue my quest getting to 142 pounds. I never knew clothes could be this comfortable! I am enjoying wearing new and different styles, and being able to tuch in all my tops is awesome. I have found that shopping at the thrift stores and second hand shops is really fun and you can really find some good buys. I attend a support group meeting once each month, and I have really benefited from being able to share experiences with others that have had this surgery and those that are looking into it. I would do it all over again without batting an eye!!
