****ANGEL SWOOPING IN WITH SOME GOOD NEWS****<p>Carla is doing great. I spoke with her today and she was able to start on liquids today. She's loving the grape juice! She was also able to take a shower and wash her hair. So, she is in heaven right now! I'm going to go by and see her one last time tonight, because she is going home tomorrow!

Hey Carla: Just a note to say hello and to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers. You go girl!!! I'm having surgery next week and can't wait til its over. Hang in there and hopefully I will see you at the meeting on October 13.

I went to see Carla last night and she looked good. She got up a couple of times yesterday, but was still somewhat groggy from the morphine. I was a little concerned because she was running a slight fever, but that broke last night. I spoke with her today and she is doing great! She has walked the hallway and spent several hours up sitting in the chair in her room. She was impatiently waiting on her leak test so that she could have that first drink!

I spoke with Carla's husband this morning. He told me that she was still doing well. She was sleeping at the time I called and had not yet gotten out of bed. He indicated that the nurses wanted to let her rest and get up when she was ready. Her pain is being controlled and her wonderful husband has been pushing the morphine pump button for her because she was too sleepy to do it herself! Now, that's devotion! I hope to go buy and see her tonight or tomorrow and will update on her condition then!
