hey guys well i had my wls on oct 15th i am doing great i have lost 13 pounds at 1 week visit after my wls with dr smith i tell i have not been sick yet and i am keeping everything down so far thank god. i have been walking and praying that the weight keeps coming off ................thanks to dr smith and his staff you all were great..........buffy leonard

hey guys well the time is getting closer for me i have several dr visits before the 15th of october my family are getting afraid but i told them that god will be with me so they do not have to worry . well keep me in your prayers as my days get closer.

Buffy You shouldn't have to pay up front for anything. I had my RNY with Dr. Titus Duncan this past monday, June 2. He is the best there is, and no money up front. It would mean probably another nine month wait, but ask anyone who has been to him, he is the BEST. Good luck on your journey.

He's 'asking' for $4000 because there would be NO WAY he would get that from 'straight' insurance. The fobi is basically the RNY with a few modifications. I cant see that a surgeon would 'force' you to have one over another. Most do either. Is he the only one in your area? If you have been approved for the RNY; and there are other doctors in the area - GO TO THEM. You dont need to be 'approved' again; as long as the new doctor puts in for the identical procedure (i.,e the RNY) good luck.

well i got my approval from insurance but i also got so crazy news from dr burrows office he said that the only surgery i could have was the fobi pouch and i had to pay 4000.00 well i told hm i do not think so so he got a little angry with me but my insurance has approved me for the rny so i do not under stand why he is trying to make me pay 4000.00 i am so up set but i know that god will make away i am going to meet with my private doc who recommened him on thurs. to see whhat she feels i should do so do pray for me.
