I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~

Hey girl! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well. I laughed when I saw your update about beer. I am also a drinker. I have 1-2 glasses of wine (merlot or cabernet)just about every night. Beer did not agree with me the first 10mos. April I went to a wedding and they had a keg of Bass Ale. I went to town on that keg. I told my surgeon I drank like a Pledge at a frat party and he was amazed. He said most patients can't tolerate beer at all. I tolerated it a little too well. I can't believe I wasn't sick as a dog the next morning. I think this bypass helps to avoid hangovers. I assured him my keg guzzling days are over and that was an isolated incident. He got a little laugh out of it all. Keep up the good work and keep posting updates!

To get your profile spruced up just go to anyones profile whose fixed up. stroll down to where the name of the person who made it. e-mail that person. and ask them could they spruce your profile up. and tell them what you would like on it. they will get in touch with you for more info. it may take a few weeks in doing. sometimes a few days. and congratulations on crossing over to the losing side. The beginning stage is the hardest. try to do your best. I ate peanut butter to help get my protein and to get my water in. and diferent soft foods, right now your poach is raw and swollen, and you will feel like that. all I could do was sip, I ate fork full of something and that was it. but try to make yourself eat something. I even had the juicer going. I put turkey and gravy together and dranked it. it looked gross, but was loaded with proteins. Also my taste wasn't right and before it even got to my mouth I would gag. Keep sipping you have to get those proteins in, plus the proteins help you heal faster. Take care and hang in there. ~*~Hugs~*~

Kristin, your posts sounds just like me. I eat way to fast and I too got sick on a protien shake (drank too quick!). I started timing myself (boring but hey it works). WHat I ate alot during my full liquid stage was 2 boiled eggs blended in the blender with a little ff mayo, tuna (made the same way). LOTS of yogurt and cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is a good source of protien. Hopefully you can tolerate lactose. I also drink the Pro Blend 55 swiss chocolate (the only powder I remotely like). Add a spoonful of peanut butter to your drinks. It adds flavor and little protien. Anyway. You'll do fine....keep up on your vitamins etc. Jamie (2 months post op, down 55 lbs)

Hi Kristin. I just happened to put a question up on the message board and saw your post re. protein intake. It sounds VERY familiar. I had the same concerns. Sometimes even water would make me throw up. The first month I know I didn't get enough water or protein because my tummy just wasn't having it! It gets better. Once your tummy eases up you'll be able to get the protein in. It's great when you can loose the shakes and eat chicken and tuna instead. Hang in there sweetie!

YEA!!! I'm so happy that you're home and doing well. I left you a message yesterday at your house. I'll try to catch you when I get home from work tonight around 9pm. I hope that's not too late. Selling homes means late nights and weekends for me...YUCK! I can't wait to follow your journey. It's such a blast and you deserve it. The hard part is over. Enjoy the ride sweetie!

Ohhhhhhh, I am a loser! I made it home today after my Lap RNY Wed. The 80 min. trip home wasn't fun because I was overdue for pain meds but didn't want to stick around the terrible hospital long enough to get them. I am feeling pretty well.....sore as poop but that is to be expected. Still on clear liquids, waiting to go to phase II of the diet tomorrow.....sugar free pudding, protien shakes etc. Thanks to everyone who supported me during my tumultuous pre-op jitters. I can't wait to lose lose lose!

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too.
