I am 5 days post op and going good. I have taken no pain meds since coming home from hospital. Am living on sugar free popsicles and jello and water. Tried a soft scrambled egg this am with no problems (of course I missed the bacon but hey it is worth it) I have lost 8 pounds so far. My doctor okays mashed potatoes, creme of wheat, soft scrambled eggs and pureed foods. I have not had a craving for cokes which i thought I would so that is good too. Thanks to all who sent me mail of encouragement and for all the prayers during my surgery.

Congratulation on your upcoming surgery! The next year is going to be the most amazing of your life. I know that you must feel as anxious and nervous as I did ten months ago. But soon this waiting game will only be a memory and you will be on to your new life. I am 10 months post op and I have lost 130 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 4 in a little over 6 months. Miracles do and will happen for you. I have tried to keep a profile that can be used as a resource for pre-ops. That answers all of the questions that I had when I was in your shoes. And links to various places to do more of your own research. If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to that understands please feel free to email me.
