Debra came home from the hospital on Friday, June 14th. Her surgery was on the 13th so that was remarkable. She is feeling better but feels really tired. I guess that is natural. Please write her and sent her your best wishes. She would really appreciate that.

Debra--don't let that misinformed person get to you. She obviously has never had to deal with any kind of addiction in her life and if she's lucky never will. The rest of us know that this is literally a life saving procedure, not a short cut or easy way out. We love you and stand behind you 110%!

I am so sorry to hear that a nurse was rude to you in the hospital. It is a hard enough decision to have surgery let alone a medical professional be rude about it to your face.
Hang in there and Good Luck!!

I am not Debra's official angel but I just spoke to Debra on the phone and she came through her surgery yesterday very well. She was really sore and sleepy yesterday, but today she is feeling much better. She has been walking around her room and her doctor told her if she felt like it, she could go home today. I think she will stay one more night and go home tomorrow. Please go to her surgery page and send your get well wishes to her. She really is a sweet person.

Debra, I just wanted to say that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I live in Maryland but if you would like to send me the name of the hospital, the phone number and someone I could speak to regarding your surgery, I would gladly call and and find out how you are doing and post it to the message board. Please just let me know.
