Congratulatiions on getting a surgery date! It is a momentous event that I'm sure you've waited for a long time in receiving! Welcome to the waiting game...its a little frustrating and exciting and scary and you never think that it will get here( I have 19 more days to wait), but it will! Best of luck!

11/07/02-- As I plan the future - I want everything NOW. I know each of you went thru this and had to go thru the process - but I'm SO anxious to get going - I hope that there will be no snags in the process. I'm 55 yrs. old , mother of 4 and we're expecting our 9th Grandchild in Feb. 2003. I was out for breakfast this morning and had trouble wedging myself in the booth at Big Boy's - BOY did I feel fat!! I have some concerns (1) I have had a bowel resection - my sigmoid colon was removed in 1990 for Diverticulosis. Sometimes I have a Dumping effect and I have 3-4 BM's a day. Will this worsen after a Gastric Bypass?? (2) I'd sure like to hear from people who had their surgery at Flint, MI's Hurley Hospital - how was your stay - what was the hospital and surgeons like? I hope to speed up the process - is that possible? I REALLY enjoy reading all the comments and looking at your before/after pictures -- SO inspiring. I CAN"T WAIT!!
