CATHY~~ I think everyone's energy level is different... but, for me- I slept a lot the first couple of weeks and hardly had the energy to get up out of my chair- it will get better ~~~~ HAVE A VERY HAPPY (AND SKINNIER) NEW YEAR~~May the light always find you on a dreary day.....When you need to be home, may you find your way....... May you always have courage to take a chance, and never find frogs in your underpants

Hi Cathy, Congrats on your surgery, being on the "other side", having the courage to change your life like this! I had mine Nov 25th so I know how much courage it does take. We deserve this chance to become healthy and energetic! I lost 21 lbs in 21 days and hit my first plateau, which is making me nuts! But this too shall pass and I'll continue losing. I hope you are recovering and feeling better each day as I did. By the end of the third week you should feel about normal, but then everyone is different. Best of luck to you and remember.....YOUR FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT WE GOTTA WEAR SHADES!!!! HUGS! Carol Percel

Merry Day After Christmas Everyone! I had my surgery on December 17th. Yes it really did happen :-D, and have been staying with my grandmother until late last night. So today is really my first chance to post here. I am so very greatful to all the people who post on the message board and who are members of this site. whether you are posting questions, encouragement, fears, or your own experience, you have helped me to get to the point where I am today. So I am so very thankful to you all. Lisa Gasspard, Thank you for reaching out and making me a member of this site, instead of the occaissional research visitor that I was. Vickie Linke, I want to thank you for the e-mails and all the encouragement that you have sent to me, as well as the wonderful profile you did for me <which I have yet to update but plan on later>. Mama Angel, I want to thank you for the kindness and compassion that you show to each and every member of this site. Sharon Neva thank you for the reacing out to others that you do. Pam German, your wonderful sense of humor and fun are always a breath of fresh air, and I always love to read your take on the things that we each face in our struggles to make a meaningful change in our lives. There are so many other people that I would like to thank, but this is already too long and I feel that each person who post here make a valuable contribution in the lives of all of us here. I do not believe that I would be sitting here post-op :-D today if I had not found all the wonderful people who visit here. I am so very thankful that devine intervention stepped in and guided me to this place. Having reached the other side, I hope to meet all of you who are still waiting and hoping soon. May you all find inner peace and happiness in the new year to come Love to all. ~Cathy R
