Hi Everyone, its me! 8 days out of surgery and doing great! I had a smooth surgery except they also found an umbilical hernia, so Dr.H fixed that too! Everyday I'm walking more and feeling better, sick of the liquids though! But hey, I'm on my way. Thanks to all for your support. Love, Joyce

talked to Joyce friday 5-16. She sounded much better and clearer headed now she was off her morphine. She souned like herself and had taken some walks and was doing her breathing exercises!She is definitely on the upswing in her healing process.........shell

Talked to Joyce briefly this afternoon-- she got thru her surgery just fine. She was having some pain but I told her everyday she would get better and to use her pain pump medication!She had taken a walk and they were starting to get rid of some of her apparatus ( was waiting to have the foley catheter removed!) She has made it to the other side and is starting her new journey to a healthier person. She just wanted me to update her new WLS friends! from her surgery angel, Shell

In all things Remember,that the one above loves you,that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you,that you be given strength, endurance,love,peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room,know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Hello to all, Thanks so much for all of the kind and supportive comments. My mental attitude is getting better everyday and I am now at the stage where I just want it to be over. Some people seem to feel the need to remind me how DRASTIC my eating habits will change and how TINY my meals will be. I am SO not bothered by that anymore and I thank GOD in heaven for having the strength to handle those comments in a kind and civil manner. My TINY stomach will have all the food it needs, but of course if you are not morbidly obese and haven't researched WLS for years you couldn't possibly understand my journey. That's why this site is so great! You ALL get it!!! Thanks for letting me ramble on! My pre-ops testing is tomorrow and I need to get some sleep. Love to all, Joyce
