I have seen jackie recently, HE IS LOOKING GREAT! he has lost over 250# and has an activity level you wouldn't believe. I am so proud of him. He has really encouraged me with getting my surg. If I can do half as good as he has, it will be well worth it. He also got his first deer in deer season this year. He loves the outdoors and now he can enjoy all of it!

Hi Andrew: This is your surgery buddy from 4/4/00, Cindy H. in ND! I just read your update! Congrats on the big loss so far. I'm doing good too - having lost 65 pounds and going from size 28 jeans to size 18 jeans! Woo hoo. I feel so much better too. Do you know how much they bypassed on you? I remember you said 'distal' before - they bypassed 5 feet on me. I usually call it medial. Write me if you get this. Your buddy,

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that Andy has had surgery and has been doing great. He is very soar right now but that is to be expected. He had surgery on April 4th. The surgery only took about two hours. He did very well and was discharged on April 7th. He has been doing very well with his eating. He hasn't thrown up or anything. The only bad thing is that he don't like broth or cream soups, and he is going to be on those kind of liquids until the 14th. He was weighed at the hospitals before he was discharged and had lost 5 pounds. He will be getting his staples out this coming Wednesday. I will let you know more later. Shiela
