Great to hear that everything went well and you are now home. Nothing is better than being in your own house and bed after having this surgery. At least it was that way for me. I am now 5 weeks out and have lost 40lbs. This surgery is a life saver. I hope and pray that things continue to go well with you during your recovery. Welcome to the "losers" club! Take care, PS: Dr. Bosquez did my surgery, isn't he just the nicest guy? *******HUGS*******

Hi AMOS family!!! I made it. I arrived home yesterday. So far recovery has been very good. As my wonderful hubby updated, surgery was uneventful which was good. I did have gall stones so they removed my gall bladder which was fine with me. I truly feel that the Lord has been by my side this whole journey. He has cleared the path to make this possible. I truly and sincerely appreciate all the prayers from my AMOS family. I believe in prayer and believe that you are responsible for helping me to get through this. I'll continue to pray for each of you and will and pray that the Lord blesses each of you. Hugs and Kiss from the "Losing" side, KS

7/1/02 - This is Kathy's husband. Today was Kathy's surgery and it was uneventful. We got to the hospital at 5 this morning and checked in. After being in the section where patients are processed for surgery, she was taken to the operating room at 6:45. I received the fisrt update at 7:15 and they had already made the insision and everything was going good. I received another update at 8:15 and the report was that everything was still going good and she hadn't lost much blood due to the surgery, but this is when I found out she did have sleep apnea for sure and that she would going to ICU after surgery. Another hour passed and I received the final update that they were "closing" and she should be in her ICU room in about 30 minutes. She is doing well now and already they have taken her off the ventilator. And I expect tomorrow early she should be in her own private room. Thank all who have cared to share with her. It does mean alot to her. Thanks again, Luke
