Crystal, It's so nice to hear from someone from Washington State! I live in Brownspoint, (Tacoma) WA. I had my surgery 11 months ago at Virginia Mason. Dr. Moonka was my doctor. I have had no regrets! No complications. The nurses took care of me. The only downfall is VMH do not have a follow-up care program. If you would like some information on support groups & vitamins. Crystal, I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done this several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your healthy new life.

Hey Crystal, my surgery isn't until Sept.16th. I know the summer will fly by. It always does and by next summer we'll be wearing shorts and won't be embarassed to be in a bathing suit!!!!!!!!!
