Hi Nancy, I have been where you are now. For most of the last year I had very ambivient feelings about my surgery-I had to have three surgeries after my RNY, including open gallbladder surgery. I went through a heavy depression after all the surgeries but it DOES get better. Today I am beginning to appreciate the difference in my body. The only thing that's going to get your energy up is protein, water, and excercise. I know I had to force myself to do these things, but give them a little time and they will work. Your body has gone through a MAJOR upheaval. It also may help to see a therapist, it is not uncommon to experience a bout of depression after the surgery. Good luck!
