Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted! So much has happened! I had my 8-week checkup and I've lost 39 pounds! My goal was 40, so that ain't too shabby! Also, I'm going back to work after 9 years! I was working out of my home doing web design, but the weight loss God sent me gave me the courage to go and apply at a software company that I've wanted to work for. I passed all their tests (and there were a ton of them!) I was asked to come back the next day for more tests, took them, then got interviewed and hired on the spot! I start training tomorrow and I'm very excited! I pray for all pre-ops and post-ops that everything is well! And if you're fighting insurance, pray and keep fighting! Love--

Happy New Year AMOS family! I am three weeks post-op today and have lost 21 pounds. I lost the first 19 in two weeks and this week I've lost 2...go figure :-) I'm feeling great! I am having some problems with cramping and diarreah after I eat, but I'm sure that will get better. It doesn't happen often. My hope for everyone on this site is that 2002 is a stellar year!!!

I am home and on the lighter side!!! I am amazed, touched and humbled by all of you that took the time to post to my surgery page, it really made my day to read all your comments! A HUGE thank you to Georgia and Irene for taking the time to visit, they are both awesome ladies and it was a pleasure meeting them!!! I will post more about my surgery later, I'm kind of tired, now. But let me say that it went off without a hitch. Also, I was so worried about the NG tube...for me it wasn't bothersome at all. Sheryl..You will be there soon and you are in my prayers!!! To GOD goes ALL the glory!!! Bless everyone on this site!

I had a wonderful visit with Lisa tonight. She is doing really well for only being 24 hours out of surgery. She says it has been so much easier than the VBG she had previously and her pain seems to be under control. I also got to meet Irene Hayes-Oliveras also a member of this site who was there visiting Lisa as well. Meeting nice people like Irene and Lisa is what makes this site so great! Keep up the good work Lisa and welcome to the lighter side.
