Just returned from the doctor's office, I am 9 days post-op. They took out my JP drain and my staples. I've lost 15 pounds.... gone forever!! I'm still on a clear liquid diet with protein drinks, stage 3, and will continue this for another 10 days. It will be tough but worth it! I'm looking forward to going swimming in a week!

Lori was released from Crossroads Hospital this morning 6/28. I just spoke with her on the phone at her home at 2 PM 6/28 and she sounded wonderful. She sounded really up and she is feeling good. Great job Lori!!!!!!!

Lori, I am so very excited for you! You are such a beautiful person in the inside and out. I will pray for you and know everything will work out wonderfully for you. Hey there Lori---Thanks for writing. I'm so excited to meet another person who will be there when I'm there! I was planning on going to the nutrition class on 6/14--so if you havent done that yet maybe we could hook up there? I'm seeing Dr DeLa Torre this Friday and doing all the cardioscreening etc as well then....so I'll let you know how that goes. I wanted to let you know I am excited about this and I also could use a friend to get through this---I will write more later but now I have to cook dinner for my husband (he works 2nd shift) so I'll write you tonight or tommorrow a.m.---Maggie

Dear Lori, Thank you so much for answering my letter. I just did not want to go to the dr. and then find out the insurance would not pay. You are so sweet to take time to e-mail.. I pray a blessed surgery for you. Love, Gena Pope
