5 more days!

Aug 05, 2008

I am hanging in there with my "full liquid" diet.  Ha! Ha! "full" is a joke! I don't want to eat anything because I am already sick of everything.  I am also weening myself off of coffee, so that makes me a real joy at work.  I had a chat with my 82 year old mother- in- law today.  She doesn't quite understand why I am getting the surgery.  It is hard to explain to people that I have tried everything and I have come to this point in my life that I know the surgery is the only thing for me.  My mother-in-law is a heavy lady and you would think as a women who has dieted her whole life she could understand a little.  My choice and I am happy I made it.

6 more days to go!!!!!!!!!!

Aug 04, 2008

I am so excited for my surgery, not nervous just anxious to have it done and get on with my new and healthier life.  I have started a full liquid diet today as part of my preparation for surgery.  Everyone at work kept asking, how are you doing on the diet?  Is this what it will be like for the rest of my life?  My motto is, " you gotta do, what you gotta do!"  I am prepared mentally for my surgery since I have thought about it for years.  I even packed my bag for the hospital and got my paperwork ready this weekend.  I am ready!!

My husband and I are going to Italy at the end of October.  I am so excited to be able to sit  in the plane seat and not "spill" over to the other seat and be able to walk without huffing and puffing and even be one or two sizes smaller so I can look better in clothing.  Mamma Mia!  That really excites me!
