2-2-05 Been trying to find a hospital in Ky. that will work with Voc. Rehab. and having no luck. Guess I will try to find a different job that has insurance to pay for GBS.

01-26-05 Found out today that the hospital and Voc. Rehab. could not come to an agreement on payment. I'm at a total loss. Don't know what I'm going to do now. Someone please help me.

12-09-04 Found out today that the hospital where my surgeon does his surgeries will not accept Voc. Rehab's payment. My counselor at VR has sent this info to Frankfort in hopes that they will increase their payment. So---everything's on hold at the moment. Praying it all works out. Will update you when I know more.
PSYCH CONSULT

11-24-04 Had my psych. consult today. It went well. The therapist said he was going to reccommend me for gastric bypass. Next is to get my appointments scheduled for the cardiologist, vascular surgeon, and pulmonologist. Hopefully they will be scheduled soon. It's so difficult to be patient. Happy Turkey day everyone!!!

11-15-04 Still waiting for Voc. Rehab to make payment arrangements with the cardiologist, pulmonologist, etc...and then for them to accept that payment before I can see them for consult. I have a appointment for my psych consult next week however so that will be one thing out of the way. Trying to be patient.

10-22-04 The surgeon has agreed to accept Voc.Rehab's payment so I guess I have a surgeon. Now, I have to be cleared for surgery by a cardiologist, pulmonologists, etc.

10-05-04 Had my first appointment with my surgeon today. He says I'm a candidate for open RNY. He reccomended me getting a vena cava filter due to my super morbid obesity. I'll have to think about this. I guess now I wait to see if he and Voc. Rehab can come to an agreement on the surgery fee.

09-16-04 Received word that Dr.in Louisville has agreed to accept Voc. Rehabs payment for a initial visit only. Made an appointment today for Oct. 5th at 9am. I'm thrilled! Hope he will continue to see me after the intial visit and for surgery. Will update you when I know more
DIFFICULTIES

8-18-04 Found out today that my surgeon of choice will not accept what Voc. Rehab will pay. So---I've got to find another surgeon. I'm really disappointed because I had my heart set on going to this particular surgeon. I feel like I'm starting all over again. And what if no surgeon will accept Voc.Rehabs payment??? Wish me luck. All suggestions appreciated.
