I'm home!

Nov 02, 2009

It is so so good to be home. I had surgery on the 21st of December, home on evening of 24th. I had a G.I. bleed complication due to my need to take coumadin because of previous DVT and pulmonary embolism. I spent a day in the ER and was kept in for 2 more days to evaluate and wait. My blood work is now stable.
I have less regret for doing the surgery. On New Year's Eve I get to move to the pureed diet. I'm excited for something more than water, tea, Crystal Light, strained soup, Jello  and milk. I have very few times of feeling a big need to eat. I've not been hungry. I have no pain just tenderness. My drain came out today, no more oxygen.
I hate the taste of my crushed meds. I'm using Crystal Light to get them down.
I think I might just be turning a corner. YEAH!
