Good news/ Bad news

The good news is I won the BariWare contest!!! Thank you to all my amazing family and friends who voted. So excited to get my prize!!!

Bad news; lesson learned today: when you keep forgetting to take your iron supplements it will get you in trouble. I now have to get an iron infusion because of my stupidity. It is something that could have easily been avoided if I just took my iron everyday. Please learn from my mistake ;)

6 pds more for next goal!!!

Really trying to reach my next goal by June 29th which is my 3 year anniversary date for the surgery. I want to be 140 pds which will be just over 1/2 the weight I was before surgery.  Started at 284...need to get to 142...6 pds more would have me at 140! Then 20 more mounts to go to ultimate goal. Would love to set that goal for Sept 20th...my 40th Birthday!

3 months until 3 years post op!

Finally joined a health club and started losing weight again. Want to hit my goal of "normal" BMI by 3rd anniversary. Running/speed walking 3-5 miles a day and weight training M-W-F. Missed last couple weeks due to finals, and a sick 4 year old . Back on track this Monday morning. Finally out of the 150's!!! And  wearing a size 6P! Still Stuck

 It's been a while since my last post. Still not down to my goal weight & almost at my 2 year anniversary date. I've been floating between 158-161 for 6 months +. I will make it to my BMI of 20! I've have introduced more fruit into my diet but discoved things like Mango just have too much natural sugar & my body can't handle it. 3 strawberries as a snack is amazing lol. Quinoa is my new best friend. But a little bit is VERY filling. Taking new vitamins. Switch to Wellesse Brand Vitamins. All liquid.

It's been a long time.

 Just realized it's been so long since I've posted anything. Guess I should waited until after my appointment next week. Took my blood test today. I'm now 158 pds. Really wanted to be 140 by now. Little disappointed but it's my own fault. Not exersising like I should be. I'm far from sitting around but not getting the cardio I should be, I can also eat better. This is a good thing. Keeping my calories between 800-1100 depending on the day. Drinking more coffee than I should be. Need to cut down. Since last I posted graduatated with my undergraduates & started graduate school. Slowing down a bit. Brain is a little fried. Job hunting for HR positions in Central FL. So far nothing. Not giving up. New goal it to be down to 140 by March 1st and 120 by September 1st. Going to make that extra effort to get the cardio in. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Holidays!!!!

Catch up time

 It's been a great few months. I've officially lost 114 pds. and still losing steadily. Last blood work up came up perfect. I'm right on track. Hoping to get to my goal by the end of the year or sooner. I know things will be slowing down soon but it just means I have to kick my workout in gear. I have also starting selling Mary Kay again so if anyone wants a makeover please let me know.!!!!

For an update: Everything is going fantastic. I've lost 86 pds so far and I feel great (with the exception of having the flu since yesterday but so does everyone else in my house. )

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

 Everyone please have a fun and safe Thanksgiving. This is my 1st holiday since post WLS. I'm actually excited about it. I'm not at all disappointed of all the bad stuff I can't eat. It's fantastic! I really don't feel like I'm missing anything, which 6 months ago I would have never believed that. I actually am looking forward to some healthy food. I'm even making some sugar free Pillsbury brownies (fat is a little high so I can only have a small piece but that I really want. )
