Aspiemom
I was born a poor fat child... sorry couldn't resist. Basically I was thin till I hit puberty and gradually blossomed from there. I didn't become morbidly obese until my early 30's and stayed that way until my surgery, my heaviest being 353lbs (good God how did that happen). I'm 6' tall but there is only so far you can go with the "big boned" excuse.
It wasn't until I had my son that I even gave WLS a second thought, he needs me and I owe it to him to do my best to be here for as long as I can (he has Asperger's Syndrome...a high functioning form of autism).
That's the short version :)
