Well I had my first appointment with Dr. Bishop this past week and it went very well. I am very impressed with him. He's sent me for my blood work and I will be going for sleep apnea testing as well. The only thing is that I've decided on having DS not RNY, and Dr. Bishop refers people to Dr. Garber who only does RNY at the moment. I am hoping I can still go to Dr. Bishop for follow ups as I felt extremely comfortable with him.
So right now I am in the process of finding a DS doctor. I am looking into Dr M. Lutrzykowski and Dr. W O'Malley. Both doctors were recommended to me by previous patients of theirs. Thank you Marnie and Lisa!
Also, today I attended my first OH support meeting. What a wonderful bunch of people! I was blown away by how willing everyone was to help out. I definetely felt comfortable and relieved to find others going through the same thing I am.  I am looking forward to the next meeting :)
