Hope u guys aren't sick of me cuz its getting worse lol

Apr 04, 2012

Now that I've made it to the other side all I think about is OH & youtube. I just want to talk to u guys & find out as much as possible!! Was anyone able to consume more than they expected? It seems like I been taking in a lot but then I realize I'm averaging 1 jell-o cup per day & I'm still drinking the same 10 ounce bottle of water at 11pm that I was drinking at 5pm. Considering the fact that I'm supposed to drink 4 ounces per hour I'd say I'm WAY under expectations. I have to say everyones tips have turned out to be very helpful. I'm glad someone made the point that when u come home its likely that ur weight will be up due to IV fluids. I'm 6 lbs heavier & had someone not brought that to my attention I'd probably be having heart attacks right now. My first night in the hospital my vitals were checked at least every hour as well as my blood was being drawn constantly through out the night. Reason being was that I had severe chest & upper back pain with high blood pressure & a low grade fever (around 101). On top of that they were pushing my IV fluids like crazy to try to bring everything down. I remember looking up & thinking well damn I wonder what that flow rate is lol. I started emptying my own hat (the thing that measures ur urine in the toilet) cuz I was going so much every time that by the time I went twice I started thinking it would over flow. So, I started emptying it & then telling the nurse how many ounces. I can't wait to see the weight start coming off. It hit me today that this is when the hard work really begins & I think this is where so many people get buyers remorse cuz u realize if u went into the OR 300lbs u were still 300(maybe even more) when u came out. Again thanks to whoever the original poster of that statement was too. This truly is NOT the easy way out. I wish there was one but there's not. However, this surgery will be helpful. I admit I'm terrified that it may not work for me. That this incision in my belly won't pop back out like they said it would & I'll be stuck with a misshaped stomach. That my skin will sag so disgusting that my self image will worsen. But, I keep telling myself its going to work out. God didn't bring me this far to leave me now.

Anyway, any random advice that anyone has is more than welcome here. I want to hear from everyone. How did u get the water weight off when u came home? If u did anything at all. What turned out to be ur favorite exercise after it was all said & done? Ur favorite proein that can be bought at a local grocer?  I prefer to not have to order. Did u use baby food during pureed stage? Everything & anything u have I'm listening.
