Dear Beverly.........sorry about the loss of your pregnancy. It really is hurtful when you commit to having a baby and can't continue the pregnancy............... Your body is a wonderfully perfect machine. If you are not healthy enough to carry to term or if the fetus is not viable then your body rejects the pregnancy and tries again. With a BMI of only 37 you are quickly becoming the perfect candidate for carrying a good pregnancy so watch out when hubby gets that twinkle in his eye. :) BTW, don't let your doctor give you too hard a time on being pregnant. My postop nurse had RNY almost 2 years ago and suddenly became pregnant at three months out. Her doctors freaked but she still had a healthy baby boy. So if your body is ready you will carry just fine no matter how soon after surgery. Just give yourself some time to be stronger and you'll have a little someone, with a runny nose and full diaper, clinging to your leg soon enough. God bless and my sympathy for your loss.

Beverly, I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I am sure that your emotions are very difficult to contain at this time. Your body rejected the fetus because you are not "well enough" to substain a pregnancy. Some people have become pregnant too early and carried to term without complications but many others have faced the same heart ache that you have. My advice would be to look at optional birth control methods, keep your weight loss journey going and give your body time to heal appropriately. After you are healthy a pregnancy would be so much easier for you and the baby. KimmieTN
