Fay... CONGRATS on your tremendous success!! I'm sorry you're having to have GBS... I'm hearing that alot of surgeons (mine included, thank heavens) are routinely taking out gallbladders during RNY's! Hang in there and thanks for sharing your story on the message board... it's very inspirational for those of us who are pre-op!! :-)

Hi all! I am home from the hospital today. Feeling very sore and weak. Surgeon said everything went great. Now I am finally on the loosing side! WOOOHOOO!

Fay, I am wishing you a successful, complication free surgery and a safe, quick recovery. I had my Open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and can honestly say that I have NO regrets other than not having WLS several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you start your healthy new life.
