First Step Completed- Nutritionist

Feb 18, 2009

I finally complete the second step of getting approval. I have a long way to go i know, but I'm going to use this time wisely.

I've finished up my round with the Nutrionist and I'm still working on getting my 6 months of exercise in for Cigna to approve. On Feb 24th i have my appointment with the Psychiatrist and I'm very nervous about that appointment. Yeah because I don't want to have any emotional breakdown during the meeting and my make up looks horrible. I have to go to work afterwards (HA). I don't want the person to try and get all up in my head and have me tell some secrets or my deep emotions, so I have to keep my wall up. i don't trust them, that is what they are paid to do,, trick a sistah.

I'll work on trying to overcome this fear.

Still Learning

Feb 18, 2009

I'm still searching for information on which surgery is best for me. currently I've attended a seminar and signed up for the Lap Band because it is less invasive than the Gastric Bypass. I've spoke with a couple of people of mines and there are mixed reactions about which one to go with. I just know I want to have the surgery, but i have months to finalize it.

This site is very helpful and I've beenreading up on many people blogs to get an idea of what to expect. the photos are amazing if i might add and i didn't realize the men had made the decision to opt for the surgery as well. i think it is beautiful finally see that men care about their health and body and is willing to do something about it, but at the sametime, these are men who are going through the struggles as women. I applaud  those men who are doing the dam thing.

Well, if you have any additional information or thoughts or comments to share i'm more than happy to hear them.
