A great life

Feb 21, 2009

In October of 2007 - I weighed 296lbs! I lost down to 265 on surgery day. So from there - I have come a long way baby!!! I just finished making a scrapbook of the photos of my journey - I wrote in t exerpts from the journal I kept also. I am amazed at how far I have come - both mentally and physically! I lood feel like a new healthy better me. I am proud. My husband is proud - my kids are proud - of ME! This is not the easy way out - and for those who say it is - I say - ooo you have not walked in my shoes - this came with great sacrifice, and a forced life change. I guess for me I needed a formal - forced reminder that I must change my life! Change my life it has... I walk, I run - I do not get tired going up the stairs, I swim regularly, I am told I am attractive - wow me?? (as I look behind me...!). I have a newfound zest for life and energy to spare. I sleep all night - without a breathing machine...just cuddled up to my sweet man. I do not even snore anymore. - nice! I changed my career - a new life all around.
Good luck to you - and your journey - I would say this if you are researching: do not reinvent the wheel - follow the directions to the letter - every one - the docs know what works - and if you do it - and learn to use it...you will be a wls success too. I AM!
