hi, my name is christe. i am a mom,wife to my best friend, and feel like i am on top of the world..my upcoming surgery truly is a gift. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to become the type of mother and wife i want to be. I have had five cervical spine surgeries. the last one was december 12, 2008. This procedure was the most complex,i have two titanium rods in the back of my neck, and the scar is six inches long. My wonderful surgeon used an allograft in the front of my spine.There are also three scars in the front of my neck from plates of titanium being inserted, and a five inch scar on the back of my right hip from bone being harvested to be used to fuse my spine in the back, and many scars on my hips in the front, where bone was harvested to be used in the front of my neck for each surgery. My neck is fused from c-3 to t-1 and that pretty much equals happiness and excitement, (in a wierd way ) that after everything i have endured, i know that after my gastric surgery i will able to fit into roller coasters with my hubby and daughter,
