Well, I've been on the diet for 7 days now.  Didn't think I'd make it this long, but I just dealt with it.  Actually, it's been ok during the week.  The weekend, though........HATED IT!  I would kill for a baked potato right now.  I don't know why, but that's the only thing I'm craving.  I would rather die than eat another piece of chicken.  I don't mind the protein shakes at all (thank goodness).  Kendra's surgery is in two days.  I can't believe it!  Nicollette is doing REALLY good.  I'm so happy for her and can't wait to see her!  Leslie and I will be the last to go........can't WAIT!

Just finished with my post op today......last appointment before my surgery.  Everything went really good.  Dr DeBarros explained everything about the band.  It was very comforting.  7 more days and I'm in bandland!!

Hi all...

I got my surgery date yesterday.  I'm going into Bandland on August 24th.  I'm SOOOOO EXCITED!  I've been on my liquid diet for 1 1/2 days.  So far, so good.  Not too many problems.  I'm sure in a couple of days, I'll be sick to death of protein shakes, chicken and egg beaters!!!  Oh well, it's all worth it. 

Well, here we go!  I just got approved by my insurance to have the surgery!  I'm so excited, but nervous, too.  It has only been 1 month and 5 days since I went to the weight loss seminar so I consider myself very lucky.  I know others have had to struggle with getting approval or coming up with the cash out of pocket.  That must be so frustrating!!!  Well, I think I'm going to start my liquid diet on Monday.  I know my surgery date will more than likely be on Aug 24, but I need to wait for the office to call and schedule.  Wish me luck on the diet!  Kendra (my best friend) is going through it already and she is NOT having a good time.  With both of us on the diet, I think it will be a ton easier.  We took before pictures yesterday - EWWWWW!  I downloaded them to a disc and hid them where no one else could find them!  Only when we start losing weight will I take those out.  Maybe I'll post a couple of them when I get the nerve.  See ya :)
