He answers his own pager, and he answers calls when you call his office, the girls will put him on the phone to talk with his patients. I felt like I was in good hands....I can say that I would have liked to konw my limitations up front, rather that as I went along..I was doig too much walking, but I thouhght that was what i was supposd to do...after my wls it was WALK WALK WALK, so I thought the same for this one....he let me know after my first visit that he only wanted me up and about no more than three times a day...oops..guess I should have cleared that BEFORE surgery, I do feel like I should have asked more questions...I know had I asked, he would have answered anything "
"My first impression of him was that he wanted to make sure this surgery was in my best interest, not the interest of his pocketbook. My impression of him has not changed in that regard. He is very serious about you making informed decisions, and he wants you to ask questions. He is very adamant that you not smoke and gets upset when he feels that you did not do what was in the best interest of your health (I started smoking just a few days before surgery after quitting for months, my nerves I guess.) there was nothing that I disliked about him. He is a very serious doctor, not a lot of small talk, but all the time you need for questions and answers about this surgery. The staff is the one that informed me about the risks, but they were very informative. I like that most of his staff had wls of some fashion as well, as that made me feel they really understand where we are coming from. I feel his surgical competence is great, and his bedside manner is fine. Overall, I would rate him on a scale of 1-10 (ten being best) I would give him a ten. Just to cover my butt, in case anything I say offends someone...lol...These are my observations, and my opinions. "
"they are well versed and know what to do for the obese..they are not equipped to do this surg lap, so if you have to go there, be prepared for a longer recovery time, as it will be open..."
