I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK on your surgery. Take a deep breath, try to relax. Know that we all care about you and are wishing you the best. Think positive, it really does help. After surgery, REMEMBER, turn, cough, take deep breaths, and walk to prevent complications. Hold your incision when you cough, it helps it hurt less. Keep your profile updated, it may make a difference in the live of someone else. Smile, keep your chin up! And lastly, if your chin does fall, just remember, from this position it is easier to moon people! :) (Also, humor helps too!)

Good evening Amos Sisters and Brothers~ I have a surgery date yahoooo and all that good stuff. It is July 23,2003. I have already griped about the long wait on my profile so I'll spare ya'll the sad song here. Five things for me to be grateful for INSTEAD of complaining: 1. I'm gratful for my great insurance, so many are not as fortunate as I am in this department. 2. I am having RNY before it is too late to change my life; eventhough it has been a 14 month journey from the decision to have surgery to the surgery itself. 3. I am loved by so many including many of you folks. Thanks for listening to me whine when it was all you could do to keep your lunch down while you read the "whine". 4. I have a very competent Dr. and I appreciate his dedication and skill. 5.And last by no means least I give all the glory to God for His daily blessings upon my life. Thank you ALL. I have long wondered what it would be like write this post.....it feels real good. Stay focused if you are still waiting; it truly will happen. Have good nite everybody.
